About the designer

Christina Econoumou was born and raised in Greece. She started her career in fashion by attending Parsons and Istituto Marangoni in Paris at the end of which she won the 2011 International Award at London Graduate Fashion Week.
After briefly working for Giambattista Valli and as a correspondent for Greek Vogue in Paris, she returned home to her native Athens to fulfill her dream of launching her own label.
Her collections reflect her own effortless and eclectic style, resulting in a line that is as cool and progressive as it is timeless and respectful.

PHILOSOPHY

CHRISTINA ECONOMOU is a contemporary luxury brand, representing a new approach and a sophisticated twist on classic day and night wear. The collections are inspired by classic forms with a focus on beautiful prints and unconventional cuts, using the exquisite silk fabrics produced in the historic silk town of Soufli in Northern Greece.
Christina started her brand as a reflection of her own cool, unique taste: a way to make beautiful modern clothes with a vibrant Mediterranean twist. City life meets Greek island living. Bold prints and contemporary forms for the confident, stylish, fun woman.
The brand’s design vision is its unique combination of unconventional shapes, exciting textures and vibrant silk prints. Its use of an age old Greek silk printing savoir-faire and its support of small scale local manufacturing.
